March8-14

REFLECT
Mid all the traffic of the way,
Turmoil without; within
Make my heart a quiet place,
And come and dwell therein.

~Unknown~

Sorry for not posting the last couple of weeks. I apologize for not holding up my end here. I will try and discipline myself a little better from here on out. It has been a rough few weeks for me in many areas of my life, which brought me to this verse:

1My heart is not proud, O Lord,
my eyes are not haughty;
I do not concern myself with great matters
or things too wonderful for me.
2But I have stilled and quieted my soul;
like a weaned child with its mother,
like a weaned child is my soul
within me.
Psalm 131:1-2

I needed to remind myself that I can't let great problems trouble me. I have to give EVERYTHING to God and be still AND quiet and wait for Him to do His work.
Once I put that concept into motion things really got back on track for me.
I encourage you, if there is something troubling you, please give it to God fully and completely. DO NOT give it to Him and take it back (there I was guilty).
He loves you and He will take care of you always.
Have a great week.
Love and blessings,
~Misty~

Feb.16-22

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love, and of self discipline.
2 Timothy 1:7

Hi Ladies...
I am so happy we have had more people join our blog. Now, we just need to get people using it! Thank you for all that are posting their prayer requests. This week and today especially while sitting in the lab for 5 hours, I have been thinking about FEAR and how easily the devil uses it in so many aspects of our lives. Whether it be our health, or finances, our marriages that might be struggling or just everyday tasks. Fear can be your enemy but only if you allow it. I decided that this week I was going to focus on FEAR and what God's intentions were. After reading the following verses it became quite clear to me that God did not intend for us to be in fear of those things, because they are not of Him.
Please read: 2 Timothy 1:7, Jeremiah 1:4-8, and Psalm 34:4, and spend this week moving forward as a woman whom is FEARLESS!!!
Blessings and love coming your way,
Your Sister ~Misty~

Feb. 9-15

Sorry I am a little late with this posting this week ladies. I have had kind of a rough week as I found out I have hypoglycemia. It has taken a bit of a toll on me and has pretty much scared me to death. I would appreciate your prayers as the only thing that is going to help me get past this is to lose some weight. As we all know that is a constant struggle for a lot of us, but it is important to stay healthy.
I have a 5 hour glucose test next week. I will keep you posted.

With love,
Your sister in Christ~Misty

Feb. 2-8

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Matthew 7:7,8

Hi Ladies,
I hope you all are having a great first part of the year. I know there are a few that have been faced with some struggles, including myself. We just have to keep remembering that God is ALWAYS there for us even when things may seem too difficult to get through on our own. We don't have to, HE has us covered! He will help open doors and give you answers if you seek those things in his name.
I hope you all are getting in touch with your secret sister in some way or the other. Even if it is just a small note or card to let her know you are thinking of her. It can make all the difference. I pray that you will use this blog to ask for prayer support and offer up your praises. We don't always have time to pick up the phone or to be honest, may not even feel like it. By typing on here you can share things on your mind and open up to all of your sisters, no one needs to be left out.
I can't wait to see all of you tonight at Friends Unlimited! Don't forget Alicia will be taking pics for your special Valentine (or yourself). Be sure to take advantage of this photo shoot and help support Alicia in raising money for her missions trip.
Love you all!

Week of Jan.26-31

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
Psalm 23 (KJV)

Hi Sisters,
I hope everyone had a great week. I know my latter part of the week was a bit of a struggle for me as I was feeling a little tension and bitterness. I hope that you will pray for me that I can just keep calm in the midst of the small storms that come in and out of my life. I know as the scripture above says He will leadeth me beside still waters and restoreth my soul even when evil tries knocking at my door.
I love you all and keep praying for our sisters.

Week of Jan.19-25

"If you remain in me and my words remain in you,
ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.
John 15:7 (NIV)

Hello Sisters...
Wow, what a powerful scripture and it sounds so easy, doesn't it? Guess what... IT IS! By reading our Bibles and praying everyday we are keeping our Father's words alive in us, and by speaking with our tongue and believing with our hearts, then our prayers WILL be answered. God has given us so much and we all have so much to be thankful for, go out and share it! Love you all.
Happy Blogging!

Week of Jan. 12-18

All of you who fear God, come and listen,
and I will tell you what he has done for me.
I've cried out to him with my mouth
and praised him with my tongue.
If I had known of any sin in my
heart,
the Lord would not have
listened to me.
But God has listened;
he has heard my prayer.
Praise God,
who did not ignore my prayer
or hold back his love from me. Psalm 66:16-20

Ladies...
As you move on with your week, remember God DOES here our prayers and does not ignore them. They should be just as important to us as that phone call back home to mom or dad or our best friend. Look forward to it and be excited that you have a friend that is ALWAYS here when you just need to talk. He loves you and so do I.
Post your prayers all this week on this link.
Happy Blogging!
